SOUTH COAST GYMNASTICS ACADEMY
More Than Gymnastics.
A Place to Learn, Grow & Belong.
At South Coast Gymnastics Academy, we believe gymnastics is about more than learning skills. It’s about building confidence, discovering what you’re capable of and enjoying the journey along the way.
From a child’s first experience in the gym through to recreational gymnastics, specialised programs and competitive pathways, SCGA provides opportunities for athletes of different ages, abilities and ambitions to learn, progress and be part of our gymnastics community.

Welcome to SCGA
Gymnastics for Every Journey
Located in Unanderra, South Coast Gymnastics Academy provides a welcoming environment where children, teenagers and adults can experience gymnastics in a way that suits them.
For some, that means developing fundamental movement skills and having fun each week. For others, it means progressing through levels, discovering a specialised discipline or working towards competitive goals.
Our programs span early childhood gymnastics, Gymnastics for All, Freestyle Gymnastics, Trampoline & Tumbling, TeamGym and competitive Men's and Women's Artistic Gymnastics, creating opportunities for participants to continue developing as their interests and abilities grow.
Whatever brings you through our doors, we want SCGA to be a place where you feel welcome, supported and excited to keep learning.
Why SCGA?
A Place to Build More Than Skills
Gymnastics can develop strength, flexibility, coordination and body awareness—but the lessons learned in the gym can reach much further.
At SCGA, we aim to create positive experiences that encourage athletes to challenge themselves, celebrate progress and develop confidence in what they can achieve.
Qualified Coaches
Our coaching team is committed to ongoing learning and development, helping us provide quality gymnastics experiences across our programs.

Programs for Different Ages
From early childhood movement through to adult gymnastics, there are opportunities to get involved at different stages of life.

Pathways to Progress
Athletes can enjoy gymnastics recreationally, work through progressive levels, explore specialised disciplines or pursue competitive pathways as their skills and goals develop.

A Supportive Environment
We want athletes to feel comfortable learning, making mistakes, trying again and celebrating their achievements—whether that achievement is a first forward roll or reaching the next competition level.
Our Commitment to Child Safety
Creating a Safe, Supportive Place for Every Child
The safety and wellbeing of children and young people is an important part of everything we do at SCGA.
We are committed to creating an environment where children feel safe, respected, included and confident to speak up. Child safety is a shared responsibility across our organisation, involving our leadership, coaches, staff, volunteers, athletes and families.
SCGA’s approach to child safety is guided by the 10 NSW Child Safe Standards, which provide a framework for organisations to prevent harm, respond to concerns and continually strengthen their child safe practices.

The NSW Child Safe Standards are administered by the NSW Office of the Children’s Guardian and provide a framework for creating and maintaining child-safe organisations.
Our Coaching Team
Supporting Every Step of the Journey
Behind every class is a team of coaches committed to helping athletes develop safely, confidently and progressively.
Our coaches work across early childhood, recreational, specialty and competitive gymnastics, bringing different qualifications and areas of experience to the SCGA team. Ongoing coach education is an important part of our approach.
Most importantly, coaching at SCGA is about understanding that every athlete develops differently. Progress might mean learning a new skill, overcoming a fear, moving into a new level, performing for the first time or achieving a long-term competitive goal.
