About our EVENTS
SCGA offers a variety of competitions and events throughout the year, giving gymnasts different ways to challenge themselves, showcase their skills and celebrate their progress. Our SCGA competitions provide a friendly introduction to competing, while club events, displays and special activities provide gymnasts, families and the wider SCGA community further opportunities to experience our wonderful sport.
For gymnasts looking to take their competition experience further, opportunities may include invitational competitions, Country Championships, State Championships and National Championships, depending on their program, level and qualification. Each event offers something different — from experiencing a first competition close to home to representing SCGA on a larger stage — giving every gymnast something exciting to work towards.
Who Are COMPETITIONS For?
Competitions aren’t just for competitive squad gymnasts — they’re for anyone who wants to give them a go! Many SCGA programs offer opportunities to participate, whether it’s your first event or you’re an experienced competitor. They’re a great way to try something new, set a personal goal and enjoy the experience of representing SCGA alongside your teammates.
COMPETITION PATHWAYS
Every gymnast’s competition journey can look different. Coaches help athletes identify suitable opportunities based on their readiness, interests and individual development, ensuring competition remains a positive part of their gymnastics experience. As confidence and experience grow, gymnasts can choose to challenge themselves further, set new performance goals or simply continue enjoying the social experience of participating alongside their teammates.
